A couple of years ago Chicago Johnny's was hidden in a vault, sealed in concrete, tucked away inside of a volcano, centered on an island that was surrounded by sharks. After some careful thought I ventured to this volcano to bring back Chicago Johnny's! I'm releasing a recipe for Italian sausage that goes back four generations, a recipe that I've been making since I was five years old, something I learned from my father, who learned from his father, who learned from his father. An Italian sausage seasoning that started on the South Side of Chicago!
Rebirthing Chicago Johnny is probably the best thing that has happened to you outside of marriage & children. What started as a kid making giardiniera in my parents' basement, delivering cases from the trunk of an old beaten down Volvo car has become a brand, better yet, an experience. I don't 'make a better' seasoning or product, I make a product that you haven't had anything like before.
